Three Kings (1999)

Three Kings is a 1999 satirical war dramedy written and directed by David O. Russell from a story by John Ridley about a gold heist that takes place during the 1991 Iraqi uprising against Saddam Hussein following the end of the first Persian Gulf War.
The plot is somewhat similar to the one of 1970 war film Kelly's Heroes, starring Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, and Telly Savalas, among others. This film is set in World War II, with the Nazis as the enemies. Towards the end of the film, there is an alliance with a German officer, to steal the gold.
